What is missing from our community? What would make it an even better place for you, your family, neighbours and friends to live?

Our new Your Priority website is your chance to have your say and, if other people like your idea, see it developed and delivered in 2022.

What is Your Priorities?

Your Priorities is an internet platform that gives EVERYONE who lives in the Gorbals the chance to put forward ideas they believe will improve our community.

The website is all about encouraging discussion, linking us up with other people who have similar ideas and priorities and helping us develop our ideas through online conversations.

Your Priorities is used all over the world, from Vienna to Ghana, as a way of giving citizens of all ages the chance to influence how money and funding is used to improve their community.

How does it work?

Simply go to our Your Priorities page and sign up using your email and create a password. Check out this how to video for a walk through of the sign up process!

Browse the categories; there are two:

  • Services, Groups and Activities where you can post ideas about things that could be delivered to make life better for people and improve their health, well-being and happiness. For example, this could be a healthy cooking session for new parents or free outdoor yoga for adults.

  • Places and Spaces gives you the chance to post ideas about physical improvements that could help people live happier, healthier lives. This could be something quite large like the installation of a secure cycle shelter or even something basic, like more bins around the area to keep it cleaner.

It doesn't matter what age you are, or how long you have lived in the Gorbals this is your community and your ideas are important! Oh, and you can add as many ideas as you like.

Have a look at the ideas other people have posted and interact with these. You can show your support by clicking the thumbs up button or by adding a comment. If you want more information on an idea you can raise a question or concern.

Who can take part?

Anyone who lives in the Gorbals can submit an idea.

Gorbals-based voluntary sector and community groups can submit an idea too!

Could my idea become reality?

Your idea could become a reality if it is:

  • A new idea that isn't already being delivered within the Gorbals;

  • Likely to cost £30,000 or less;

  • Within our power to develop and deliver; and

  • One of the 10 most popular ideas (as voted for through the Your Priorities Community)

If your idea meets this criteria and is one of the top 10 most popular ideas we'll get in touch and invite you to meet with us to talk about how we can take your idea forward; we'll help with everything, from costing and fully planning your idea to making sure the right people are involved to deliver your idea.

You don't need any experience, we don't expect you to deliver your idea by yourself (unless of course you want to)!

No idea is wasted!

No idea is a wasted idea. So, if your idea doesn't meet the criteria above or isn't one of the top 10 most popular ideas don't worry we'll still help if we can. We'll look at every idea individually and if we can help we'll be in touch; if we can't help we'll get in touch to explain why.

I don't have an idea...

You don't need to have an idea to get involved. Use the website to find out about the ideas other people have raised, offer your support, post encouraging comments or raise a question.
