Gorbals Grows is a new community growing project that aims to transform unused and vacant spaces across our area.

What began as an idea from local residents Lisa Gillen and Jackie Stockdale has now taken root, thanks to £10,000 in funding from the Gorbals Ideas Fund, awarded by the community in 2022.

 

The project is creating outdoor spaces for relaxation, planting, and growing herbs, food, and flowers.

What started as a pilot project over at Riverside, is now a growing space. A group of local residents, meet every Monday and have been busy planting and growing produce. what an amazing idea that has now 'taken root' and 'growing' every day.
